Wow. I’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnbs over the years, and this was far and away the best experience of all. Aimee and Rich truly went above and beyond to make us welcome, and their place is absolutely gorgeous inside and out; the quintessential Vermont homestead. Simple elegance and warm hospitality. A great value too - especially with such a delicious breakfast. If you’re looking for a lovely Vermont B&B look no further. We will be back!
We were going to Springfield, so I looked for an AirBnB. I had no idea that East View Farm was a destination accommodation. Give yourself the treat of staying in this fabulous home with some of the best hosts I've ever met. You will be entertained, inspired and fed an amazing breakfast that will last you the entire day. Do yourself a favor and book it!
East View Farm is more an experience than a place to stay. For those who went to summer camp as kids, the cabin will evoke a fond sense of nostalgia. The woods about the property were very serene, and we were lucky to have seen the foliage at its peak. I felt markedly calmer and kinder after my visit, and would recommend the place to anyone who would enjoy a peaceful, introspective weekend in a picture perfect Vermont setting. 11/10, would again.
At first we were hesitant about booking a cabin with no electricity but we were surprised that it makes the experience so much better! Aimee and Rich were such thoughtful and warm hosts from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The cabin is a perfectly secluded getaway from the busy city life or a quick (but needed) trip into nature! Anything you need they will supply. The hosts are thoughtful enough to give you a tour of their beautiful historic house and the amenities that are open to the guests such as Aimee’s beautiful yoga studio. We will definitely be staying here again
Staying with Aimee and her family felt like being welcomed into a family home. It was a great pleasure to spend time with them - chatting in the sitting room, sharing a bit of social time with their friends, and enjoying wonderful morning yoga. Aimee & Richard made it easy to have private time, as well, in comfortable rooms throughout the house (and trying out a fantastic West African sitar!). They also gladly helped accommodate the quirky routine of my daily, daylong outdoor activity while in town; not least, Richard preparing full English breakfasts to get me on my way! Of all the inns and B&Bs we've stayed at through the years, this one stood out. Many thanks, Aimee & Richard, and hope to be back again soon.
After you book through AirBnB, you can add these special touches to craft a one-of-a-kind getaway.
Spend your afternoon learning to build your own survival shelter and tools with materials found in nature. Rich lived in the rainforest of Central Africa for over a quarter-century and has taught survival skills to park rangers and film crews. Price includes all materials and supplies.
Time for one last mini-vacation as just the two of you! Friday evening, we'll hold a special couples' candlelight yoga session to help prepare you for your most gentle and empowering birth experience. Saturday evening, indulge in a one-on-one session for mama-to-be with blissful restorative poses and calming meditations you can use during (and after!) the birth of your little one! Complete your relaxation with a candlelit post-yoga lavender bath in our giant jetted tub.
Experience the quintessential Vermont craft of maple sugaring, the old fashioned way. Collect buckets of sap for the boiler - it takes 40-50 gallons to make one gallon of syrup (the reason Vermonters lick their plates after pancakes), and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a heartily delicious pancake breakfast. Head home with a souvenir bottle of locally produced liquid gold.
